Huge congratulations to NCYM students Ben Pease Barton, Emily Crook, and Tristan McCardel, who were awarded prizes in all categories of the Bishop’s Prize for Music 2017.
The Bishop’s Prize for Music was created to help young composers understand the relationship between words and music in setting biblical texts to aid worship. This year the chosen texts were on the theme of Restoration & Redemption.
The competition was open to students between the ages of 12-18 in any school or college in the geographical area covered by the Diocese.
There will be a prize giving ceremony at Norwich Cathedral with Bishop Graham during a service of choral evensong on Wednesday 20 September at 5.30pm when the winning anthem will be performed.
