Progressive Curriculum

NCYM offers a holistic curriculum, embracing individual and group instruction alongside ensembles in a variety of styles and genres. The centre aims to support students as they progress with high quality, sustainable, week by week Saturday training in association with one of the world’s leading conservatoires.

Our Expert Tutors

NCYM appoint tutors through a quality assurance partnership scheme with the Guildhall School. All tutors are professional musicians who take part in regular professional development, hold current DBS checks, and receive regular safeguarding and pastoral training.

Pathway to Success

The close working relationship of NCYM with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, ensures that bursaries and progression routes are available and provided for those students who may not otherwise be able to access such opportunities.

Well-Equipped Facilities

NCYM takes place in the Arc, City of Norwich School, Norwich. This provides a purpose built space with excellent facilities for rehearsing.

Friends of NCYM

NCYM students are supported by an active group of parents and supporters who run a regular Tuck Shop on Saturday mornings and a range of other supporting activities. They also help to provide much needed financial support through fundraising.
